Abstract:

Iranian women have experienced serious changes in their lifestyle and daily life policies within the last decade. These changes not only include the pattern of consumption of goods but also consumption signs, places attended, times and environments that allow for opinions on the economy and consumption signs. This article is dedicated to qualitative analysis of women demeanor in one of the biggest and most luxurious shopping centers in the city of Shiraz called “Setareh Fars” The consumption patterns, signs, attitudes and living policies of the women who go there for shopping are investigated.A range of theories related to consumption, gender and identity have been applied in this survey. These theories are: Feminism general approach, and Hebdige’s, Bourdieu’s, Muggleton’s, De certeau’s, and Bakhtin’s theories, every one of which deals with some specific dimensions of consumption signs and the contemporary routine lifestyles. The research methodology is qualitative and has been demographically conducted. The information needed for this research has been collected via observation and interviews of 31 women sellers and buyers. The participants were selected with purposeful sampling and data collection procedure was based on theoretical-conceptual examination of the research queries. The data was then investigated and submitted to a thematic analysis. The research findings revealed that a shopping center is not merely a place for consuming the common goods but is a symbolic and typical area for consumption signs, pretense of expenditure, wandering about, seeking identity, defiance to gender distinction, and finding friends. In light of this view, consumption of goods in shopping environments is in most cases a superficial behavior.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: Consumption of the epidermis (COE) is defined as thinning of the epidermis with attenuation of the basal and suprabasal layers and loss of rete ridges in areas of direct contact with malignant melanocytes. The aim of this study was to investigate the importance of COE as an additional diagnostic criterion for malignant melanoma and to evaluate its relationship to clinicopathological findings.Methodes: The age, gender, localization of the lesion and the histopathological parameters such as tumor type, Breslow thickness, ulceration, and Clark’s level were recoeded in 90 malignant melanoma cases. Results: In contrast to other studies, we found that COE was more common in tumors with an acral localization and in the acral lentiginous melanoma. Conclusion: Although COE can be used as a pathological criterion in the diagnosis of malignant melanoma, but no correlation no of COE with ulceration and other prognostic factors were found.

Abstract:

In recent decades, the nature of cities has been indebted to a set of territorial factors and integrated and multi-layered connections between their constructive factors. However, now a significant part of this nature has been reduced to the presence or absence of signs, functions, and bodies. One of the results of these changes is the increasing formation of functionalist centers such as shopping centers; centers that are introduced as a platform for consumerist events. Evidence suggests that a cultural change has occurred in the function of shopping centers that has led to the emergence of new kinds of cultural consumption and thus, physical changes in these centers. Therefore, by selecting three shopping centers, the present study, based on the attitude obtained from the literature of the related studies, compares the considered indicators in them. This study is applied descriptive-analytical research, in which theoretical data are collected using library research method, and the field data are collected by observation and using questionnaires. After studying the theoretical literature on cultural consumption, 21 criteria are extracted to examine case studies in terms of 10 physical factors. Also, the information required to investigate the samples is obtained by using purposeful observation and completing 300 questionnaires by the clients, and then, processed using data mining technique in IBM SPSS Modeler software. The study results suggest that the proposed hypothesis on the impact of physical factors on consumption patterns in many cases can explain the process of changes. Also, it seems that shopping centers are part of the temporary culture of people who spend their time there; and the spaces in them are not only parts of consumption, but also are consumed themselves.

Abstract:

Since the evaluation of the diversity indicators in consumption of medicinal species by the beneficiary’s households and its driving factors is of utmost importance in marketing, multi-purpose planning of rangelands and sustainable development, a questionary-based study was carried out to determine the diversity indices of medicinal species consumption in settled nomadic communities living under different management and livelihood situations in the rangelands of Dyvaroeieh in Bardsir township, Kerman province, Iran. To this end, the medicinal species consumed by each household (as a study unit) in addition to the diversity indicators of consumption (i.e., dominance coefficient and Shannon-Weiner index) were evaluated under two management sites comprising Rangeland Management Plan (RMP) (i.e.,Dvyaroeieh 1) and the nearest adjacent rangeland without RMP (i.e., Dyvaroeieh 2, as control treatment ) and three livelihood levels (i.e., very poor (<50 million Rials monthly income), poor (50-100 million Rials monthly income) and moderate (100-150 million Rials monthly income)) under factorial test in SPSS software environment. The study's results revealed that both of management and livelihood factors can be applied by manager to increase diversity indices in medicinal plants consumed by beneficiaries. More specifically, management through RMP was more powerful and effective tool in this way. Therefore, it could conceivably be argued that RMP can be considered as a driving factor in increasing the diversity of medicinal plant consumption and also be a suitable platform to meet the needs and demands of rangelands’ beneficiaries in this field.

Abstract:

Our cities are what and where we consume. In essence, the city is in fact nothing more than a space for consumption in which we apparently express ourselves as citizens of a consumer society. Consumption lies at the ideological core of the contemporary city and, as such, consumption spaces lie at the very heart of what it means to be a citizen of the society in which we live. As cities have become evermore outward-looking, as they have sought to establish their role on the world stage, they have simultaneously been compelled to look within themselves. The topographic identity of the city is in a constant battle with the parameters that consumer society has laid down for it.Spaces for consumption are worthy of particular attention insofar as they traverse notions of public space and the public sphere and as such offer a new kind of public realm, but one over which the public appear to have less control. Furthermore, shopping malls and large commercial centers demand their suitable inter-disciplinary researches, because of their complicated behavioral and formal natures. These places are defining different meanings in relation with their roles in everyday life of postmodern society people. So, semantic studies with emphasis on consumption of space seems necessary. This article, based on literature review and a logical reasoning method intends to access an initial theoretical framework for analyzing consumption of shopping mall spaces from the window of semantics based on Rapaport’s method for study of meaning in built environment. Result of the paper shows that while these places and their designers (as elite specialists) do their utmost to create a high-quality space and produce connotative meanings in the minds of the audience before they enter and use the space, but after experiencing space by the audience and consuming it in their everyday lives, what remains is not the original associational meanings, but generally perceptual meanings based on post-modern, collapsing, and collage images. Although these spaces, apparently, differentiate between two categories of consumers, it appears that the bond between the rich and the poor in the shopping centers, and the presence of different classes, will undermine the semantic system produced by capitalist models. The presence of the “poor” and “cultural minorities” in the places of rich people led to the dismantling of unique styles that are provided through the commodities, architecture, and the geographical location of shopping malls.

Abstract:

Travel production in transportation management has led to extensive studies for different travel purposes. Trips due to the daily activities of citizens are divided with the purposes of work, shopping, education, etc., according to the studies conducted in Tehran, 12% of trips are shopping purposes, which after the trip with the purpose of work. Therefore, by identifying factors affecting the creation of shopping trips, we can play a significant role in reducing transportation cost, reducing pollutant emissions, increasing user satisfaction, and contributing to the growth of sustainable development. In this research, considering the frequency of data in areas 2 and 5 of Tehran metropolis and calculations based on Cochran's formula, 1500 questionnaires were provided to the people of these areas. Finally, 1,000 questionnaires were collected from users in the field of e-commerce who had successful orders in online and offline services in the last 20 days of 2021. The results of the descriptive statistics of the interviewees showed that the largest share of people in the statistical population were single men in the age range of 18-35 years without owning a car and having a bachelor's degree with an income level of 10-15. Also in this paper we used the indicators of age, gender, marital status, car ownership, shopping cost, shopping time, product price, household income, employment status, and education level. It has been used as indicators affecting the type of shopping trip. In the next step, the results were evaluated and the travel type estimated. In order to compare the proposed method, MLP neural network, DT and KNN algorithms were used. The results showed that the deep model has the best performance with an accuracy of 95.63%. After that, there are neural network with 90.12% accuracy, DT with 86.49% accuracy and KNN with 80.16% accuracy.
